Coachella 2024 Unveils Star-Studded Headliners: Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, and Lana Del Rey

Coachella 2024 is set to dazzle music enthusiasts with an impressive lineup featuring Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, and Lana Del Rey as headliners. This iconic festival is scheduled to unfold over two weekends in April, in Indio, California.

The lineup also boasts an array of diverse talents, including Skepta, Raye, Flo, and the BBC Sound of 2024 winners, The Last Dinner Party. Coachella, renowned not just as a major music festival but also as a gathering spot for influencers, promises a range of musical experiences.

A particularly anticipated act is Gwen Stefani's band No Doubt, returning to the stage after nearly a decade. Their Instagram post excitedly invites fans to join them "in the desert." Flo and The Last Dinner Party also expressed their enthusiasm on social media, with the latter teasing a special performance through a video group chat reveal.

The festival continues to diversify its offerings, featuring Canadian Punjabi artist AP Dhillon, rapper Nav, and Indian Carnatic musician Sid Sriram. This inclusion follows the successful performance of Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh last year, marking a significant step in South Asian representation at Coachella.

DJ Yusuf Suavé from RepresentAsian lauds AP Dhillon's inclusion as a major achievement, reflecting on his chart success in the UK. Yusuf, a Bristol-based promoter, emphasizes the need for more South Asian artists in festival line-ups.

Nayha Ahmad from BBC Asian Network highlights the importance of South Indian music at Coachella, following in the footsteps of last year's memorable performances by Diljit Dosanjh, Ali Sethi, and Joy Crookes.

However, the 2023 festival had its share of challenges, particularly with its headliners. Despite a lineup featuring Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and Blackpink, Ocean's second weekend performance was replaced by Blink-182 due to unforeseen circumstances.

Coachella 2024 is scheduled for April 12-14 and April 19-21, with Lana Del Rey set to headline Fridays, Tyler, The Creator on Saturdays, and Doja Cat closing the Sundays.
